Commercial Zipline Site Evaluation & Survey
This service is a focused assessment of one proposed commercial zipline alignment. It is intended to establish whether the alignment is workable, document the relevant site conditions and identify what must be addressed before the project proceeds into coordinated design.
Begin with a Free Preliminary Review
Send us the available location information, photographs, approximate launch and arrival areas, project concept, operating goals and timeline. Using the information you provide, we assess the opportunity and identify the most useful next step.
What You Receive from the Preliminary Review
- Information and assumptions used
- Proposed or reviewed alignment
- Catenary and clearance profile
- Preliminary feasibility conclusion
- Important constraints or unanswered questions
- Recommended next step
- Preliminary project-cost range
Preliminary-review limitation: The free review is based on client-provided information. It is intended for early decision-making and is not a field survey, coordinated design package, final engineering package or authorization for construction.
When an On-Site Evaluation Is Recommended
Some sites require direct observation, verified measurements or a closer review of access, terrain, structures and operating conditions. In those cases, Zip-Rush can perform a professional Site Evaluation/Survey. Select the applicable destination or region from the product variants to see the professional fee. This is a professional service fee, not a deposit or credit toward equipment, design, engineering or construction.
To keep the professional fee accessible, travel and third-party expenses are handled separately and confirmed before the visit.
What the Paid Site Evaluation/Survey Includes
- One site visit and assessment of the agreed project area
- Review or proposal of one preferred zipline alignment
- Direct observation and documentation of terrain, access, existing structures, utilities and relevant constraints
- Coordination with the client's local field surveyor when verified survey data is required
- Catenary and clearance study suitable for construction for the surveyed alignment and agreed scope, using verified project data
- Recommendations for the appropriate trolley and braking approach
- Preliminary reference locations and elevations for towers, posts or platforms, for further development by the client's qualified professionals
- Written conclusions, unresolved constraints and recommended next steps
- Preliminary project-cost range
- Proposal or quotation for subsequent Zip-Rush services and equipment, when requested
Where the Survey Ends and Design Begins
The Site Evaluation/Survey determines whether the surveyed alignment is workable and provides the field information needed for the next decision. It does not include iterative design development, alternative concepts, a coordinated drawing package, an equipment schedule, an operating or throughput plan, or coordination notes for the client's architect, engineer, fabricator and installer. Those deliverables belong to the separate Commercial Zipline Concept Design & Technical Consulting service.
What Is Not Included
- Airfare, visas, itinerary-change fees, local transportation, lodging, meals and other travel expenses
- Local field surveyor fees, surveying equipment rental or the cost of producing verified survey data
- Geotechnical investigations, soil testing, permits, regulatory fees or approvals
- Architectural or licensed professional engineering services
- Final structural engineering, stamped drawings, fabrication drawings or construction plans unless separately contracted with the appropriate qualified professionals
- Equipment, installation, training or other services not expressly included in the written scope
Travel, Scheduling and Taxes
We normally build reasonable contingency time into the itinerary. If weather, access, permits, visas, transportation or another event outside either party's control prevents the visit, we will work with the client to reschedule. Non-refundable travel and third-party costs remain the client's responsibility.
Applicable taxes are additional. Canadian sales taxes are generally not charged for services supplied outside Canada, subject to the applicable tax rules and the final place of supply.
